By Road:
1. From Nairobi:
- Route Options:
- Sekenani Route: This is the fastest route if you are heading towards Mara Serena Lodge, near which the Iseiya Campsite is located. The road is tarmacked from Narok to the Sekenani Gate, providing a smoother drive.
- Aitong Route: This route is preferable if you are staying at camps outside the park such as Angama, Kichwa Tembo, Bateleur Camp, Olonana Camp, Kilima Camp, Mara Siria, Mara West, or Mpata. This road will get you closer to these locations before entering the reserve.
2. Directions:
- Nairobi to Narok: Start your journey from Nairobi and drive to Narok, a town located about 142 kilometers away. The road from Nairobi to Narok is paved and in good condition.
- Narok to Sekenani Gate: From Narok, continue driving towards the Sekenani Gate, which is approximately 80 kilometers away. This section of the road is also paved.
